Qwear Pride 2021 Virtual Fashion Show
Objective
We created a virtual fashion show to showcase the work of queer and trans designers of color. We were limited by Covid, which didn't allow us to physically meet. Instead, we had designers send us videos of their work for us to put together into a video. The challenge was figuring out how to showcase their styles in an engaging way in the virtual format. Runway shows were designed for physical events and aren't nearly as engaging in the video format, so we tried a more interactive approach.
Solution
We had designers film close-up long shots of outfits for us to splice together of models. The final video featured juicy shots of their outfits set to music in a way we felt best featured the designs in the video format.
