Qwear Media Welcomes New Creative Director, Deandré Upshaw

We are pleased to welcome television host, producer, and model DeAndré Upshaw as our new creative director. We are excited to have DeAndré on board to help more brands achieve their marketing goals with the LGBTQIA+ community.

As an entertainment news host, DeAndré has interviewed stars like Jim Carrey, Usher, James Marsden, and Forest Whitaker. He's the host of The Outline, an entertainment news program airing on Revry, produced in part by Qwear Media.

In 2021 he was featured in the Jared Leto directed PBS documentary “A Day In The Life of America”.

He has worked on and been featured in campaigns with companies like Amazon, KAY Jewelers, American Express, Wells Fargo, The Knot, and Vistaprint. As a Big & Tall Model, he has done extensive e-catalog work for brands like JCPenney.

DeAndre has been featured in People Magazine, Entertainment WeeklyDaily Mail, Logo's NewNowNext, The Knot, and Men's Health Magazine.

Sonny Oram

Sonny Oram founded Qwear in 2011: the world’s first online queer fashion incubator. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Huffpost, and Buzzeed, among others. Sonny has been published in books including Beyonce in Formation and The Dangers of Fashion: Towards Ethical and Sustainable Solutions. In 2019, Sonny founded Qwear Media to help diversify advertising.

Outside of Qwear, Sonny works at MIT as a Communications Officer, where they use their expertise in creating online movements to curate MIT’s online presence.
